Thanks to its enchanting position on the sea, the scenic beauty, the vast historical, cultural and archaeological heritage of which it is rich, Taormina is one of the most famous tourist resorts on the island . A place of great charm and beauty, the splendid Sicilian town has seduced poets and writers , has attracted famous travelers, has welcomed celebrities of international fame. Visitors from all over the world come to this “patch of paradise on earth” (Goethe, Italian Journey 1787) to see its Greek-Roman theater, stroll along its medieval streets, admire its breathtaking views, taste its excellent cuisine, and relax in the sun on its beautiful beaches, all of which leave them spellbound. Anyone who has been to Taormina knows that it is true, whoever intends to visit it will easily find out.
Our property is located in the peaceful setting of the ETNA Natural Park, between Europe’s largest and most active volcano and the fantastic sea and beaches of the Nature Reserve of Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, Marina di Cottone.
Thanks to its strategic location, only 10 minutes away from the Fiumefreddo di Sicilia highway exit, it is an excellent starting point for numerous nature excursions and artistic/cultural visits.

LE GOLE DELL’ALCANTARA
In fact, it is only 30 minutes from the northern slope of Mount Etna and its ski resorts at Piano Provenzana, 50 minutes from the southern slope and Rifugio Sapienza, 20 minutes from the Alcantara Gorges, 15 minutes from the beaches of Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, 20 minutes from those of Giardini Naxos and Letojanni, and 25 minutes from Taormina and Isola Bella.
The Alcantara River has carved the spectacular Alcantara Gorges, lava canyons with unique basaltic prisms. Stretching 400 meters long, with walls reaching up to 50 meters high, this natural wonder was recognized in 2010 as a European Destination of Excellence (EDEN).
CATANIA AND SURROUNDINGS
The main cities – Catania and Syracuse – are respectively 35 and 50 minutes away.
Other interesting nearby towns include Acitrezza and Acicastello (25 minutes), Castiglione di Sicilia (15 minutes), Randazzo (40 minutes), and Savoca (45 minutes). For younger visitors, the beautiful Etna Adventure Park is only 25 minutes away, while the Etnaland amusement and water park is located 50 minutes away.
Catania, at the foot of the stunning Mount Etna and overlooking the Ionian Sea, is a baroque city of art, a UNESCO World Heritage site along with the Val di Noto. Founded in 729 BC by Greek colonists, it has gone through various dominations and rebirths, culminating in the Baroque reconstruction of the 18th century, following the eruption of 1669 and the earthquake of 1693.
